If you like lamb and hotpot, then you have to try this place! Their lamb-based hotpots are unreal! They're so flavourful, you barely need to use their dipping sauces (which is free, unlimited, and DIY at the back of the restaurant).

We ordered a medium lamb hotpot, which came with a ton of meat, bones, and bone marrow that you get to suck up with a straw, and there was more than enough for the 4 of us. The medium-sized pot also comes with 9 cumin-flavoured lamb skewers at no extra charge, and they were so tender, they melted in our mouths. They give you plastic gloves so you can get hands-on with the bones, so we had quite a bit of fun with that.

Then we chose some extra sides to add into our hotpot. We got some veggies, beef, spam, mussels, enoki mushrooms, and handmade noodles. Next time, we'll order less, as the medium pot with the copious amounts of lamb was already so filling, we could barely finish our food.

We also ordered a tower of draft beer (it was delicious and the perfect cold fizzy accompaniment to the steaming hot soup) which was only $10, and we poured about 6 glasses out of it!

The restaurant itself is small and non-pretentious, but everyone is seated comfortably in the booths, and you can peek at what everyone else is ordering. As per most hotpot places, you're not coming here for super attentive service, but the servers were very nice and really good at refilling our hotpot soup base regularly.

Our bill came to about $120 before tips, which was much, much less than what we were expecting, considering how much food we got out of it and how stuffed we were.

    We're definitely coming back!

Located in a strip mall just east of Yaohan and Aberdeen center and next to the park. It's all the way at the end next to Uncle Lu.

Pretty yummy lamb place. We got the mini pot which was a premade hot pot with 2 lamb chops. You get plastic gloves so you don't dirty your hands - nice touch. They have a sauce cart so you can make your own dipping mix.

Skewers were good. Got beef and lamb. Nice meat with chunks of fat in between. You need to order 6 of each type at a minimum. Sounds like a lot but no problem for 2 people.

Low quality, over-priced meat. If you've ever bought and cooked your own meat a few times, you'll know.

Tiny portion sizes. You write on an order slip what and how many of an item you want. We asked for 30 pieces of beef, they gave us 15! We asked for 20 wontons, they gave us 5! We asked for 6 pieces of tofu, they gave us 3 of the smallest pieces I've ever seen in my Asian life. I could go on.

All the 3 wait staff we talked to were rude and not once did they remember to give us what we asked for. Only the 2 present managers were courteous and served us properly.

Tables were dirty and ground was sticky.

In my bio, I specify that I only care about the food, but as a member of my community, I need people to know how bad this place is.

What's better then lamb hot pot on a cold day. I love lamb hot pot! This type of lamb hot pot originates from the area in China near Mongolia. You can pick either non-spicy or spicy soup base which comes in either small or large size. There's even an option to do half non-spicy and half spicy. The type of spicy is 'fragrant' spicy, which is SPICY if you don't eat spicy foods.

I ordered the non-spicy soup which comes with lamb bones with some meat on it and marrow bones. So be ready to get your hands dirty when eating; they do provide gloves. I also ordered other thinly sliced meats, veggies, and noodles. I recommend getting the handmade noodles. The soup and the noodles go well together! There's also a sauce station to make your own dipping sauce.

Be sure to get in early for dinner or make a reservation! The place is busy during dinner time.

I'll be back to try the spicy soup base-

Outstanding fresh lamb! Great portion and nice service. However, the cold yuba salad was way below our expectation.
